Brand Guidelines

The TOOOLS.design logo, the Featured badge, the colors and how to write the name. Free to use when you write about TOOOLS.design or link to it.

Two versions of each: one drawn for light backgrounds, one for dark. SVG for anything on screen, PNG where SVG is not an option.

  • Wordmark

The full logo. Use it wherever there is room for the name.

  • Icon

The three rings alone, for tight spaces: logo grids, directory listings, source credits in videos and slides.

  • Each logo is for one kind of background and gets lost on the other. Use the one for light backgrounds on light surfaces and the one for dark backgrounds on dark ones.
  • Keep it as it is. No stretching, recoloring, outlines, shadows or rearranged parts.
  • Give it room: keep free space around it at least as wide as one ring.

  • Compact badge

One line, 236 × 36. For footers and README files.

TOOOLS.design is a curated directory of design tools and resources for people who design websites, apps, and brands: over 2,400 hand-picked tools, assets, and learning resources in 18 categories and 178 subcategories, updated weekly. Every entry is vetted by one designer, and less than 4% of submissions make it in. The directory is free to use and needs no account. A weekly newsletter brings the latest additions, and an AI search answers questions like which tool fits a task or what the alternatives to one are. Pascal Strasche, a designer from Germany, has run it since 2019.
